In these terms, “EQRC”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to EQRC Ltd.
By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, you should not use the Site.
The Site presents information about EQRC’s research, consultancy interests, publications, methodologies, software projects and other activities.
Its content may include:
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Site content is provided for general information and research purposes only.
Nothing on the Site constitutes investment, financial, trading, legal, tax, accounting, actuarial, regulatory or other professional advice.
The Site does not recommend that any person enter into a transaction, adopt an investment strategy, rely on a particular model or make a commercial decision. You should obtain advice appropriate to your circumstances before acting on information found on the Site.
EQRC is not representing through the Site that it is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority or any other financial-services regulator. Nothing on the Site constitutes an offer, solicitation, personal recommendation or invitation to buy or sell a financial instrument or regulated product.
Descriptions of previous research or professional experience do not constitute a guarantee that similar work, performance or results can be achieved in another context.
Visiting the Site, downloading material or communicating with EQRC does not create a client, advisory, fiduciary, employment, partnership or other professional relationship.
Any consultancy, research, software-development or other professional engagement must be agreed separately in writing. That agreement may specify the scope of work, responsibilities, fees, confidentiality arrangements, intellectual-property ownership, liability provisions and other applicable terms.
If there is any inconsistency between these Terms of Use and a separately executed agreement with EQRC, the separately executed agreement will govern the relevant professional engagement.
Quantitative models, artificial-intelligence systems and analytical methodologies are necessarily based on assumptions, data and simplifications. Their outputs may be affected by incomplete or inaccurate data, estimation uncertainty, implementation choices, market changes, model limitations and events outside the range of the original analysis.
Research findings, simulations, backtests and illustrative results are not predictions or guarantees of future performance. Hypothetical and historical results may differ materially from results achieved in practice.
Users are responsible for independently assessing whether any methodology, model, code or conclusion is appropriate for their intended purpose. Appropriate validation, governance, testing, controls and professional judgement should be applied before material reliance is placed on any such content.
Some parts of the Site may provide access to prototypes, minimum viable products, research software, artificial-intelligence tools or other experimental demonstrations.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, these are provided for evaluation and demonstration purposes. They may be incomplete, contain errors, produce unexpected results, change without notice or become temporarily or permanently unavailable.
You must not rely on an experimental tool for any safety-critical, legally significant, regulated, investment or other material decision without appropriate independent review.
Access to a particular product or platform may be subject to additional product-specific terms. For example, any dedicated Stable-Match or other interactive platform may have its own terms, eligibility requirements and privacy notice. Where additional terms are presented, they will apply alongside these Terms of Use.
EQRC may make papers, presentations, reports, software, data, illustrations or other materials available through the Site.
Unless a different licence is expressly stated, you may download and use these materials for personal, academic or internal business reference purposes only. You must:
Academic citation and other uses permitted by law are not restricted by these terms.
Third-party publications and materials remain subject to the rights and terms of their respective owners and publishers.
Unless otherwise indicated, the Site and its original content—including its text, research descriptions, models, graphics, branding, software, structure and design—are owned by or licensed to EQRC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
“EQRC”, “Stable-Match”, “Cointelation”, “IVP”, “HFTE”, “Model Validation Pal” and other names associated with our research or products may be proprietary names, brands or project identifiers. Their appearance on the Site does not grant you any right to use them.
You may link to publicly available pages on the Site, provided that the link is lawful, accurate and does not imply an association or endorsement that does not exist.
Except where permitted by law or expressly authorised by us, you must not:
If you contact EQRC, submit an enquiry or provide documents through the Site, you confirm that:
Submitting information does not transfer ownership of your pre-existing intellectual property to EQRC.
You should not send highly confidential, commercially sensitive or legally privileged information through a general website form unless appropriate confidentiality arrangements have first been agreed.
Personal information submitted through the Site will be handled as described in our Privacy Notice.
You must not use the Site:
We may restrict or block access where reasonably necessary to protect the Site, its users, EQRC or third parties.
We aim to present useful and accurate information, but research, technology, regulation and market practice evolve. Site content may therefore become incomplete, outdated or inaccurate.
We do not undertake to update every page, publication or external reference immediately. Publication dates and version information should be considered when assessing material.
We may change, suspend, withdraw or restrict any part of the Site without notice. We do not guarantee that the Site will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or free from errors or harmful components.
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, publications, platforms or services. These links are provided for information or convenience only.
EQRC does not control third-party resources and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, content or privacy practices. A link does not necessarily imply endorsement or affiliation.
Your use of a third-party website or service is governed by that third party’s own terms and policies.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that qualification, EQRC is not responsible for loss or damage arising solely from:
If you use the Site for business purposes, EQRC will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, anticipated savings, data or goodwill arising from your use of the Site.
These limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law. They do not affect any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Liability arising from professional services supplied by EQRC will be governed by the agreement applicable to those services rather than solely by these Terms of Use.
Our collection and use of personal information are governed by our Privacy Notice.
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies. Information about the cookies used, their purposes and your choices should be provided through our Cookie Notice and consent-management tool.
Our Privacy Notice and Cookie Notice form separate policies and are not replaced by these Terms of Use.
We may revise these terms to reflect changes to the Site, our activities or applicable law.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date. Changes will apply from the date of publication and will not retrospectively alter a separately executed professional agreement.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
Any unlawful or unenforceable provision will apply with the minimum modification necessary to make it lawful and enforceable, where that is possible.
If EQRC does not immediately enforce a provision of these terms, this does not mean that it has waived the right to enforce that or another provision later.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, no person other than you and EQRC has a right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce these terms.
These terms and any non-contractual dispute arising from the use of the Site are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you use the Site in the course of business, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over such disputes.
If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the part of the United Kingdom or other country in which you reside where applicable consumer law permits this.
